The growth of Delhi's service sector can be largely attributed to the huge skilled English-speaking workforce that has drawn a number of multinational companies to the state. Information technology, telecommunications, hotels, banking, media and tourism are among the key service industries in Delhi. Delhi's manufacturing industry has, also, recorded growth. It is due to the establishment of manufacturing units and headquarters of many consumer goods industries in and around Delhi. All this has led to an influx of foreign investment in Delhi. In 2001, Delhi's retail industry has shown a remarkable growth.
