It was officially opened as a Royal Thai Air Force base on March 27, 1914. it is also known as Bangkok International Airport. Don Mueang was an important hub of Asia and the hub of Thai Airways International prior to its closure. Don Mueang became a facility for charter flights, military aircraft and civil aviation. However, the airport was reopened for non-connecting domestic commercial flights again on March 24th, 2007
- Suvarnabhumi Airport : The airport is the main hub for Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways, Orient Thai Airlines, Thai AirAsia and a focus city for Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, EVA Air, Air India, Druk Air, Indian Airlines, and SriLankan Airlines. Suvarnabhumi Airport is also known as (New) Bangkok International Airport. The airport is located in Racha Thewa in Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan Province, about 25 km east of Bangkok.
The fare fixed for flights from Chiang Mai is never the same, especially during the peak seasons. End of the academic year, major celebrations or during the tourism seasons, the rates of the tickets experience a substantial augmentation.
