One of the most important airlines in Europe and the largest in Russia, Aeroflot started off its commercial operations way back in 1923. With its major hub based at international airport Sheremetyevo at Moscow, Aeroflot operates to 93 destinations in 47 countries around the world, encompassing all the five continents. With about 302 flights a day, Aeroflot controls about 51% of international air operations in the Russian market.
Aeroflot as a member of the global aviation alliance Sky Team and in code-sharing arrangement with 34 other aviation majors both within and outside Russia provides for accessibility to air services to passengers for 728 destinations across

149 countries. Together with its subsidiaries, Aeroflot provides for carrying over 9 million passengers annually. It does have a fleet of 90 aircrafts, one of the younger fleets around. Most of the aircrafts belong to the class of modern airplanes like Boeing 767s and Airbus A320 while plans are underway to acquire Airbus A330s and Sukhoi SuperJets 100.Aeroflot does have direct flights to Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. A non-stop one way flight on a Moscow-Bangkok air route for an Economy Class ticket would cost $1389.90 inclusive of taxes. A Business Class ticket though would cost $1920.90 for the same. A round-way trip to and from Bangkok by Aeroflot on a Business Class would take $3236.80 including taxes and surcharge.
Among the other major destinations of Aeroflot in Asia are Tashkent, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, New Delhi, Mumbai, Tokyo, Seoul, Hanoi, Dubai, Jeddah, Baku and a few others. Cairo and Luanda are the ones covered in Africa while Europe accounts for a substantial part of Aeroflot's operations. Sofia, Bucharest, Budapest, Kiev, Riga, Helsinki, London, Oslo, Stockholm, Zagreb, Rome, Athens, Belgrade, Paris, Vienna, Geneva, Zurich in Europe and Toronto, New York City, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Havana in North America are the major destinations covered by Aeroflot.
An in-flight menu of Aeroflot on a Moscow-Bangkok route for the Economy Class would consist of cold and hot breakfast and dinners. Non-alcoholic drinks, beer, wine, champagne and juice are served while dinners/lunch is served on the basis of flight duration and timings. In addition to, provision for special meals depending upon age, medical advice and religious belief are also offered on during the said flight. Among the in-flight services offered on Aeroflot comprise of audio entertainment, video on demand, WAP services and the in-flight magazine "Aeroflot."
