An ISO 9001:2000 awarded airline, SGA Airlines commenced its operations as recently as August, 2006. This Bangkok-based domestic airline, currently has limited services to a merely 5 destinations across the country. Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Pai and Hua Hin are the cities covered by SGA Airlines. Owned by Siam General Aviation Company SGA Airlines offers scheduled chartered passenger and cargo services. With a small fleet of 2 Cessna 208 B aircrafts, this airline has two major operational bases at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Bangkok and China Mai International Airport, Chiang Mai respectively.

The Bangkok-Hua Hin route is covered by the SGA Airlines in just about 30 minutes. The airline operates daily flights to and fro to these destinations. Hua Hin is fast emerging on the global tourist map of Thailand on account of its facilities in terms of water sports, five star hotels, spas and wonderful vacationing. The Chiang Mai- Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai-Pai air routes are again covered on a daily basis by SGA Airlines. While the former takes a time of 45 minutes, the latter requires just about 35 minutes. The airline does have booking facilities at the airport counters at all the five destinations, along with that the call centers as well.
The SGA Airlines charges a sum of 2925 THB (Thai Baht) on a Bangkok-Hua Hin flight for an Economy Class ticket. The Chiang Mai- Pai route round trip would cost 2900 THB whereas Chinag Rai-Chinag Pai fare for SGA Airlines will be 1900 THB one way. As part of the expansion plans, SGA Airlines has drawn up a blueprint of collaborations and promotional schemes. It has entered into an agreement with Nok Air to co-brand flight operations, signaling a new kind of air collaboration scenario in Thailand.
With aviation business opening up new vista of air travel opportunities in Thailand and other parts of Asia, SGA Airlines seems all set to carve out a role and importance of its own in near future.
